1. What is the problem? Describe the issue you want to explore. 

        The impact of standardized testing in schools.

2. How did you come to choose this issue? Is this something you have been dealing with in your life? If so, explain how it is impacting you or someone you know. If the topic simply interests you, explain why. 

        Most students have to take a standardized test at some point in their education, and as a future educator I will be expected to teach material for, administer, and be affected by the results of standardized tests. I'm interested in learning about the effects of standardized testing on education, the pros and cons of testing, and the alternatives to standardized testing which are being discussed lately.
